Our Team

Carolyn Waddell

MDiv, RP

Certified Clinical Counselor

Carolyn Waddell has been involved for many years in assisting people towards inner and relational healing, through counselling, prayer ministry, and spiritual teaching, both online and offline.  She has developed the Gentle Care Prayer Ministry approach to train and mentor others in effectively ministering through prayer and authentic interactions to those who are deeply wounded.

Carolyn aims to take a "whole person" approach, by including an understanding of the mental/emotional, physical, spiritual and relational aspects of life as she ministers to people.  A major focus of her work is in helping people with trauma and abuse recovery, as well as family conflict resolution.

Carolyn is a graduate of Tyndale University College and Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Counselling.  She has been in private practice since 1997,  is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, as well as a Certified Clinical Counselor with the International Association of Christian Counseling Professionals.  Carolyn has a strong commitment to the field of marriage and family therapy (Ontario Association for Marriage & Family Therapy), in both secular and religious environments.  She operates Grace Counselling Care Connections and is the ministerial sponsored counsellor in Kincardine, Ontario, Canada.

Prior to becoming a counsellor, Carolyn's background was in the health care field, with experience in chronic care and active hospital, as well as home care.  In addition, she has experience as a crisis pregnancy support person, a pastoral care worker, and in working with children and youth.  Also, she holds a Bachelor of Religious Education from Emmanuel Bible College.

Carolyn is married with four children.   She has personally experienced much deep healing and transformation by the power of the Holy Spirit in her own life, which also assists her in understanding and ministering to others.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."  (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
